Dry
Fire protection systems that are exposed to extremely cold conditions are faced with inherent challenges such as pipes freezing and accidental water discharge, which can lead to costly water damage, increased maintenance requirements or worse yet, system failure. Victaulic dry valves provide a dependable solution to overcome these obstacles. Our dry valves for dry sprinkler systems offer safety, innovation, accessibility and convenience. A dry valve is a fire protection device that stops the flow of water into the system’s pipes until a fire triggers sprinkler activation. The dry valve operation is housed in a heated location and uses pressurized air or nitrogen to fill the pipes. When a fire is detected, the air is released from the pipe and the valve opens which allows water to flow through the sprinklers. Dry pipe fire sprinkler systems are best used in locations where piping has the potential to freeze such as unheated warehouses, outdoor parking garages, exposed loading docks, commercial freezers or stadiums.
When responding to a fire hazard, every second counts. That is why it is extremely important to know your fire protection system utilizes dependable, fast acting components you can trust. Victaulic’s renowned high quality standards give customers confidence that they are installing a dry valve that will be ready when called on. Especially when coupled with the Series 7C7 Air Maintenance/Compressor Assembly, which adds another layer of dependability to your dry sprinkler system and dry valve operation. Victaulic partnered with General Air to create a device that efficiently feeds the dry sprinkler system with compressed air at reduced noise levels. It is an off-the-shelf Installation-Ready™ compressor solution that is factory preset to accommodate air supply requirements for Victaulic FireLock™ devices.
Engineered with precision and built to withstand the challenges of cold environments, Victaulic dry valves are designed to effectively protect your property, offering peace of mind to building owners, facilities managers and fire safety personnel.
