To mitigate the risk of corrosion many saltwater disposal facilities have begun employing HDPE systems in place of traditional carbon steel pipe. The use of HDPE provides inherent benefits, but it can also employ time-consuming installation methods. To avoid onsite delays a Saltwater Disposal (SWD) facility in the Permian Basin recently partnered with Victaulic to deliver HDPE system solutions and vertically integrated fabrication.
With multiple SWD’s being constructed simultaneously, the site owner required construction to be completed in 2 weeks. To meet this demanding schedule, they turned to Victaulic’s in-house modeling team to deliver design and fabrication drawings for the 2’’ – 12’’ HDPE system. Spools were fabricated at Victaulic’s fabrication shop and delivered to the site according to the customer’s construction schedule.
By partnering with Victaulic, the customer was able to reduce the build schedule from its original 8–12-week construction timeline down to just 2 weeks. The schedule and cost savings achieved on this project drove the owner to utilize Victaulic’s vertically integrated fabrication solutions on additional SWD facilities.
