The Quinn’s Junction Water Treatment Plant, located in Park City, Utah, has the ability to process three million gallons of water per day. The plant’s ability to process the water needed for the community was severely impacted when they were experiencing problems with their water filtration skids.

The water filtration skids were manufactured utilizing HDPE pipe and an alternative joining method. The alternative joining method was not suitable for HDPE pipe. After a short period of use, the system started to leak.

To mitigate the issue Victaulic Style 905 Couplings for HDPE were retrofitted onto the existing piping system, quickly replacing the failing joining method with a reliable Victaulic solution. No pipe preparation was required and the Victaulic solutions fit smoothly onto the existing filtration piping, eliminating rework and bringing the system online quickly. Park City knew that they now had a pipe joining solution that was reliable and would last for the life of the system.
