The Permian Basin is home to some of the most bountiful oilfields in the US. Recently a principal owner was in need of a new production header assembly and turned to Victaulic for help. Having used Victaulic on previous projects the owner was aware of the lightweight design and ease of installation associated with mechanical joining solutions. These factors, along with the reduced installation time associated with Victaulic system solutions, solidified the use of Victaulic and Victaulic fabrication solutions.
Victaulic provided a modularized system to this project which included full skid drawings from our in-house modeling team with 4-12’’ couplings and valves. The Victaulic products provided a lightweight alternative to flanged systems, which allowed the owner to design and install compact and easy to assemble skids. Victaulic’s in-house modeling team quickly adjusted any changes or modifications to the skid drawings, streamlining preconstruction workflows and easing any fit-up concerns in the field.
When material arrived onsite, the production header assembly was completed in just 4 hours, a task that would have taken 2-3 days if work had been completed in the field. Based upon their positive experience, the owner has expressed interest in using Victaulic again on future projects.
