Beginning in the 1920s, piping in the mining industry was one of the earliest applications for Victaulic couplings. Easy to assemble, disassemble, move, and reuse; flexible and leaktight; and able to be fitted in a fraction of the time in tighter spaces with far less labor and equipment than conventional joints, Victaulic couplings quickly became the standard method of joining lines in both surface and underground mines.

Today, Victaulic remains a major player in the mining industry, continuing to develop innovative solutions to serve the evolving challenges of modern mining. Victaulic's mining products are used in 16 out of the 20 biggest Canadian mines and accommodates pressures of up to 4000 PSI/27579 KPA.
