The City of Somersworth, New Hampshire elected to upgrade its existing wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) to improve operational efficiency. Through the use of a $10.54 million Clean Water State Revolving Funding loan agreement, the Somersworth WWTF underwent comprehensive upgrades.

Victaulic’s grooved solutions were utilized on the return active sludge (RAS), waste activated sludge (WAS), thicken sludge line, and plant water systems throughout the Somersworth WWTF. This included the use of grooved couplings, fittings, and valves, listed below. The coupling and valve design, materials, and testing conform to the requirements of AWWA for water and wastewater treatment services.
