Sweetwater Sound, Inc., the largest online retailer of musical instruments and professional audio equipment, needed to expand its Fort Wayne, Indiana campus to include a new 500,000 square foot climate-controlled warehouse. With only nine months to complete the project with a limited crew, the contractor, Current Mechanical, also based in Fort Wayne, collaborated with Victaulic to finish the work on time.
Victaulic’s Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team provided value throughout the project, identifying potential issues and design changes and addressing them quickly. All materials were on-site when needed, allowing construction to proceed according to plan. In addition, the simple design of Victaulic’s vibration isolation air handling unit (AHU) drops meant the crew was able to install four of them in only four days.
The effective collaboration between Current Mechanical and Victaulic paved the way for a successful project and laid the groundwork for future expansion needs.
